Breaking Barriers: Major Milestone for Sheriff Security Officers
After years of persistence, Sheriff Security Officers have finally broken through a ceiling that had remained in place for far too long. Thanks to the dedication and initiative of Sheriff Security Officer Luis Orozco, who developed and delivered the presentation advocating for external body armor vests, along with the support of PPOA First Vice President Lieutenant Rob Weber, Sheriff Security Officers have officially received approval for external vests. Contracts, Community Impact and Blue Cross Coverage
A few new developments this month: the sworn have ratified a new salary contract after a very long negotiation process. Now, the other bargaining units are up to bat, and hopefully they get what they deserve. Also, the Sheriff endorsement process is ongoing and both candidates have now completed interviews with the PPOA Endorsement Committee. Read More
